Restaurant Description
Originating in the Civil War period as a land grant, the beautiful Sleepy Hill farm was created here. Nearly one hundred years later, the gracious building in which you are now dining was constructed in the Northeast corner of Sleepy Hill's property.
The farm was purchased in 1925 by a Chicago couple, whose son, an interior designer with Marshall Field, planned the Roman Villa. He laid out the luxurious gardens and selected the impressive furnishings, which transformed the building and surrounding grounds into the quiet elegance enjoyed today.
Today we continue the tradition of fine dining in opulant surroundings, offering elegant private party facilities. We sincerely hope you, our guest, enjoy the sophisticated dining our staff has prepared for you in this historic as well as luxurious environment.
Our largest private dining space is surrounded by towering canopies on both the South and North sides. These terrace areas provide for the perfect pre-dinner gathering space offering a realm of possibilities to this already delightful space.
And of course, we look forward to the pleasure of serving you soon.
